Welcome the The Lumber Lab Projects page.
Here is where theory is proven and we use our know-how to actually build our inventions.
The first Lumber Lab project was the Switched Outlet with Fuse. I did my best to represent many important facets of the engineering discipline, such as:
Safety - We are including a switch because we want to protect ourselves and the units we plug into this device from harm.
Control - Placing a switch between us and the power source allows us control over the flow of current.
Options - We will be investigating multiple options (engineering “sets”) for a couple different parts of this project
The next Lumber Lab project was the Router Table Switched Outlet. This project took the first step towards automating control of your tools. One switch controls multiple items.
Being able to give your time and talents to a worthy cause is one of the great joys of being a woodworkers. Building a Rocking Horse for Woodworkers Fighting Cancer was a great project that let me contribute in a small but powerful way.
I hope you will build along with me. If you do, feel free to ask questions in the comments field below.
Chop, Hack and Learn with me!
