PPE or Pee your pants

PPE or Pee your pants

Even this little guy knows better.

While it may feel good to work without any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE for short) getting between you and your project, it is just like the relief and warmth of letting go, if you keep doing it, eventually you will regret your decision.

Make safety a priority each and every time you step into the shop or the lab. PPE is widely available and inexpensive, especially when compared to emergency room visits.

It could be the sliver in your palm or the bit of molten metal in your eye that inspires you to never again go without PPE, but why not learn from the mistakes of others? You don’t need to feel that pain. I already have and I can tell you that it is not fun.

Now, ff you really enjoy those carefree shop sessions, you can always look forward to losing control of your bowels thanks to a freak shop accident. Then you will never have to hold it ever again.

I want you to keep on learning and building with me and it will be so much more fun with two good eyes and ten good fingers. So don those dorky goggles when you should. Slip on the protective gloves that make you feel like doing the dishes. And with your PPE on, there will be many years of enjoyment to come.

For some of my recommended safety items, go to The Lumber Lab amazon store.
